Furthermore, many hazardous and potentially dangerous scenarios can often be avoided with preemptive pruning. Utilization of good pruning practice can also prevent premature decay in limbs resulting in more structurally sound trees.

Planting

Plant a tree! Trees are one of our greatest tools for offsetting carbon emissions and may be the best long term investment you can make for the health and prosperity of your property. We focus on planting native varieties and do our best to source from local nurseries and suppliers.

Forest Health and Restoration

Vermont has a mixed history with forest health and degradation which creates the foundation for the forests we see and experience today. Small forest parcels do not usually qualify for current use exemptions but that shouldn’t reduce the role they play in the greater landscape. We do not offer forest management plans, but we are able to walk through your woods with you and discuss options for improving forest health and long term viability.

Invasive Removals

Invasive species pose a significant threat to our native ecosystems and the species that typically occupy our forests. Non-native species will often outcompete native species to the detriment of both the flora and the fauna. We specialize in mechanical extraction while avoiding herbicide use.

Wood Products

Donations

We are working toward repurposing our waste-streams to provide greater benefits to our community. We work with local wood banks to bring firewood to families and individuals who need help heating their home. We also work with private landowners to repurpose biomass (branches, leaves, debris) into compost or organic mounds.
